How frequently does the nozzle require changing on the Riello 40 collection F3 burner? My heating system is around 10 year old, and to the finest of my understanding the nozzle has never to be changed. The furnace is functioning fine in ~ present, and fuel usage is acceptable. There space no problems at present, but I would prefer to know the recommended service/replacement intervals so I have the right to have proper preventative maintain performed if/when required. Say thanks to you in advancement for your help with mine inquiry.

Gary,

Can"t argue with George"s recommendations. But, the average human just go not have the inclination to execute that type of thing. To many folks, fuel oil is nasty stuff. You and I may adjust our filters, however the ribbon clerk species will screw it up something fierce!

Oil heaters are normally protected by 3 filters. The an initial at the oil tank, the second at the pump and the third at the nozzle itself. I am surprised that the nozzle does not get changed every time. The service makes money and transforming the nozzle reduces the possibility of troubles during the heating season.

The only filter us did not readjust every year to be the filter in ~ the pump. From their endure of being in the heater business because 1923, ours oil company said every three years to be sufficient.
